課程概述 |
This course provides an introduction to a broad range of concepts, theories, and analytical techniques of macroeconomics. It focuses on the analysis of how an economy as a whole operates and performs, with introduction of analytic tools and models used to explore national income, economic growth, unemployment, price indices, consumption, inflation, saving, investment, international trade, and international finance. |

課程目標 |
1. Be able to describe the major realms of modern macroeconomics, and how to define a related economic question
2. Learn the concept of national income and GDP
3. Be able to operate basic macroeconomic models to analyze elements of national income
4. Learn the concepts of inequality and poverty
5. Acquire an understanding on economic growth and sustained growth
6. Learn about the roles of market size, labor division, technology advancement, and entrepreneurial management.
7. Be able to derive equilibrium of macroeconomic models and analyze shocks
8. Acquire an understanding of employment and unemployment of the market as a whole
9. Learn about credit markets and banking system
10. Learn about monetary system of an economy
11. Be able to identify the features of macroeconomic fluctuations
12. Be able to derive and operate international trade models
13. Acquire an understanding on open economy macroeconomics |
